Long gone are the days when every office displayed corny phrases, handshakes, waterfalls and hand-cradled seedlings on their walls. These days, much to our delight, motivational office art now looks cool. Many businesses, and those decorating their home offices, choose wall décor, prints and posters to reflect their personality and tastes, and to make a statement about their brand.
Art, of course, is very subjective and extremely personal and, as an art lover myself, I know first-hand how many days, weeks and months it can take to find the right piece to adorn your wall. I’ve lost count of the hours I’ve spent browsing prints at art fairs and online at Art Republic, Saatchi Art, V&A, ArtFinder and Etsy to name just a few.
We were bitten by the office art bug when we first opened the doors at FunkBunk eight years ago. Back then we devoted half of our floor space to an art gallery for local artists but as demand for co-working grew, the gallery sadly had to go. We’ve not lost our love for great art though, so much so that we now produce our own collections.
Sam, our founder, has been an artist and designer for 20 years and finally, after much nagging from many, he is now decorating the walls of home offices and workspaces around the world.
The first set of prints will appeal to those who suffer from the worst kind of procrastination: social media. The second is a growing collection of colourful prints that offer a better, cooler alternative to the overused, BS business jargon everyone loves to hate.
If you’d like to order any of these prints for your home office or workspace, you can do so here from the FunkBunk Print Shop. If you would like to hear about new collections, limited editions and commissions, please sign up to our mailing list.
