    Rob has been toiling endlessly to get the FunkBunk community forum all shiny and polished so you guys can really make it your own. There are a few more features too! Useful stuff like email notifications to new comments on discussions.

    I'll let Rob tell you all about it but have a fiddle about and see what you can find. Post any questions about how this all works here.

    And please, a big hand for Rob and getting this forum running so sweetly. He's Provide Design's resident web guru so in the words of the A-Team; "If you have a problem, and know one else can help, maybe you can hire...... them."

    Okay, so you will have already noticed a view changes. Well apart from the obvious visual changes there has been a number of 'under the hood' changes to make your experience within the community even better.

    Just a quick overview of the 'Best Of' what's new.

    1. Notifications Under the Notification section in the left-hand menu you can subscribe to the Forum, the category or just the discussion. Within your account page you can then manage the email notifications you receive from the forum. So, no more useless waffle clogging up your inbox whilst you are kept up to date with your preferred discussions.

    2. Friendly URLS Because they look better (and easier to link to of course).

    3. Twitter Feed If you Tweet (after-all who doesn't now?) your account can display up to your latest 10 tweets. Just fill out the information in your account page. <-- this is running a little buggy too. Sorry, seems the pull of the user .json isn't being parsed correctly so i need to have a little look into this.

    4. Flickr Feed Just like the Twitter feed, show us your Flickr feed as well.

    5. Private Messages Because sometimes we all have something private to say. Members now have and inbox tab in the menu where they can send and receive private messages. Currently there a few bugs with this that can render Private discussions not too private. I am looking into it and will have it up and running soon. In the meantime you can still use good old whispers.

    6. Gravatars (Globally Recorgnised Avatars) Bloggers will be familiar with Gravatars so I have incorporated them here too. Don't yet have a Gravatar? Go here and create one, or two, or three. It's free.

    Plus many more geeky back-end code type stuff that I won't bore you with. Oh, and keep an eye out for more to come.

    I like it, but it took me a while to realise there was more outside of discussions because this is the category it views when you visit /community, maybe it could show the updated threads from the various categories or something like that. Subscribing to notifications now.

    I thought that discussions was just a 'view all' category which includes everything else?

    Yes Andi.

    The homepage is a 'View all' page with the discussions in chronological order of most recent comments

    I think it just looks like that because more has been posted in the general discussion category.

    I have just added the ability to add attachments to your post.

    If the attachment is an image it will also display inline and open in Thickbox if it is a large image.

    Nice.
